Why life sucks right now

Last Sunday I had a seizure, ended up spending the night at the hospital where they poked and prodded me and made me eat Gordon Food Service food, ewww…

Poking and prodding can be defined as the following..

1) Lumbar Puncture

2) MRI

3) EKG

I kept falling asleep during this one

Then I got to stay in the hospital overnight and the next day they had me on a liquid diet, which consisted of jello and broth from GFS which was absolutely disgusting and will help clear your bowels.  I then had a neurologist talk to me for about a minute, explain that I had a seizure, they don’t know why and prescribed me Dilantin, which apparently makes you more susceptible to gingevitus (lucky me).  Of course they only gave me a prescription for a month of dilantin, so I was told to make an appointment with the neurologist for a check up so I could get more.  The funny thing is the neurologist’s office doesn’t want to give me an appointment since I have no insurance, isn’t that lovely?  The hospital also forgot to mention that lumbar punctures will give you a practically dehabilitating head-ache/migraine for roughly a week and the only thing that helps is lying down.  Thus I have been stuck on a couch/in bed all week, bored out of my skull.  My Mum had bought tickets months ago to see Avenue Q at the Fisher theater for us for today, so I forced myself to endure to go see it.  My headache reared its ugly head half way through, so even though I enjoyed the play, a pounding headache does put a damper on things.  Then to make matters worse when we got home we were informed that my Aunt had passed away.  I was never close with my Aunt, but isn’t my mom dealing with a seizuring kid enough for one week?  If there is a God I would really like to punch him in the face right now.

Art from my sordid past…

August 9, 2008 at 1:03 am (Uncategorized) (, , , , , )

Taking into consideration that I am an art student I felt I should post some art.  Unfortunately I have none of my recent art on my computer, so we’ll just make do with some old stuff.  This group of drawings were done for my Illustration one class.  We were suppose to illustrate three rhyming words and the images had to tell a story of some sort.  My words were Nurse, Curse, and Hearse.
